The critical function of any aircraft audio system is to provide clear, effortless flight crew and passenger communication. Northern Airborne Technology's world class audio system experience brings this important feature to the general aviation world. The new AA12S InterVOX stereo audio controller is built to NAT's highest quality standards, combining durability and performance with affordability.

The AA12S InterVOX utilizes NAT's unique system of Active Noise Filtering (ANF) through audio processing and selective bandwidth to produce clean crisp audio in a noisy aircraft environment. In addition, individual microphone gating is used for the best possible VOX performance. This produces stress-free communication, resulting in reduced flight crew fatigue and increased aircraft operational safety.

The AA12S features NAT's exclusive ICS tie line, allowing the unit to become part of a complex multi-unit system as either a primary or secondary component. Audio systems can be designed to complement a multitude of aircraft types and mission roles by utilizing various NAT expansion products.

The unique balance control design allows sources of audio to be spatially oriented, where radios and intercom audio can be adjusted to sound as though they come from different quadrants. This unique sound recognition feature allows a better level of incoming audio interpretation by the flight crew. The system can be adjusted to suit user preferences.

Product features include a front panel dual purpose amber/green VOX squelch light to aid in setting the VOX squelch control and indicate TX signal operation; Pilot Isolate mode; VOX, Live and PTT modes; music and ICS volume controls; and internal adjustments for RX volume, RX Balance, ICS Balance, Music Balance, Bass and Music Mute, and side tone levels. Standard features include ANF (Active Noise Filtering), gradual return of music mute, pilot priority transmit override, patented individual microphone gating, automatic failsafe, and short circuit protection.

The AA12S accepts stereo music inputs from either a portable entertainment unit or a CD changer and outputs through an integrated wide band stereo music processor for high quality listening enjoyment.

The AA12S has been designed as a Dzus rail mounted product which can easily be installed in an aircraft communication suite with the new NAT tray adapter.
