DPI Lab's solution integrated both iPod and A/V connections. The result is a streamlined installation, typically located in a side ledge or compartment, in one single unit. Constructed of aluminum, this aviation friendly unit is rugged. Two version are available, one with a lid and one without a lid. The upper bezel can be plated to customer specifications and is removable in the field. The iPod docking station is compatible with recent model releases

A single combo D-sub harness provides 28vdc power input A/V output. Internal electronics provide iPod charging and source selection. When docked, the A/V output is derived from the iPod. In default mode, audio and video sourcing is derived from the RCA styled A/V connectors. This internal switching scheme streamlines the entertainment system integration, maintaining compatibility with nearly all iPod versions.

This panel meets applicable DO-160E and flammability standards.
