The ICG Sigma-7 retractor reel handset is similar to the current aeronautical handsets in apperance and form factor bu is much simpler and more conventional in its use. No external power is required other than a telephone circuit connections. This telephone, with the option of 2-Wire or 4-Wire, provides the familiarities and conviences users are accustomed to when using a telephone. Without complex menus or functions to learn or understand, its is the prefereed solution when a customer requirment is for simple and conventional calling procedures.

The ICG Signa-7 can be recessed into a drink rail or bulkhead mounted with a coiled version available. ICG Offers an optional data jack (RJ-11) located in the cradle. This averts the requirments for the completion center to provide a seperate jack. The data jack can be either paralleled with the telephone circuit or can be connected to a sperate circuit so that both telephone and data calls can be active at any time. The ICG Sigma-7 has an internal magnetic stripe reader to support credit card calling and a special function key to provide enhanced features such as fast transfer and access to progamming menus, permitting audio level adjustments, LCD brightness, etc.
